Polyethersulphone membrane filter cartridges are designed to provide reliable sterilizing filtration or product stability for a wide variety of applications including water filtration, removal of spoiling micro-organisms in beverages and filtration of pharmaceutical products.

Stringent quality control standards assure effective, consistent filtration performance and controlled pore sizes. The highly asymmetric PES membrane provides longer on-stream life than conventional membrane media. As they are inherently hydrophilic, they operate at high flow rates with a low differential pressure. Support layers are present to provide mechanical strength and additional contaminant holding capacity.

Allied Filter Systems is able to offer several designs of cartridges within our PES Membrane Series to meet the needs of specific applications, whilst meeting the requirements of FDA regulation CFR 177-82, USP Class VI and EC food contact directives :

PESG series : General grade, non-integrity tested membrane filter cartridge.

PESB series : The most commonly used PES membrane cartridge for the beverage industry with a very high filtration area. The cartridges are 100% integrity tested and verified in production at 2 points and are pre-flushed with 18 MΩ.cm water.

PESP series :  High filtration area membrane filter cartridge often used for the wine industry and other beverage applications. Incorporates polyester support layers to enhance wetting out.

PESW series : Very high filtration area cartridge focused on the filtration/treatment of water and aqueous products for human consumption. The cartridges are 100% integrity tested and verified in production at 2 points and are pre-flushed with 18 MΩ.cm water.

PESV series :  Commonly used in the wine industry as a pre-filter or a final filter, and incorporates borosilicate pre-filter layers which retain both particular matter and deformable contaminants like colloids.

• Available micron ratings depending on cartridge type : 0.1 to 1.2 micron.
• Polypropylene support hardware.
• Thermally bonded construction.
• Available lengths : 10”– 40”.
• Range of end cap configurations including double open ended, Code 7, Code 8 and Code 3.
• Available gaskets include O-rings include silicone, EPDM, Buna-n and Viton.
• Maximum continuous temperature up to 80oC depending on type.
• Steam sterilisable
• Can be sanitised with hot water or many common chemicals.
